ElSoca & Fabian CRUSH: nada más hermoso que volar y caer Opening Reception: March 8, 2006, 6-8pm

Outdoor Performance during Opening Reception: 10th Avenue & 28th St.

Magnan Emrich Contemporary is pleased to present the inaugural exhibition CRUSH: nada más hermoso que volar y caer. This will be the first New York show for the Cuban duo ElSoca & Fabian (Adrián Soca Beltrán and Fabian Peña Díaz). Curated by Elizabeth Cerejido, from the Frost Museum, the exhibition will be on view from March 8 – April 29, 2006. Known for their meticulously rendered “bio-drawings”, ElSoca & Fabian combine crushed insect particles to create the ink palette used in their lyrical, thought-provoking works on canvas and paper. Painstakingly composed of tiny fly wings applied onto the canvas, images and text emerge.

Magnan Emrich Contemporary will be participating in scope NEW YORK March 10th – 13th at 636 Eleventh Avebetween 46th & 47th St.
