Similar to his previous exhibitions at the gallery, Bisbee will present one-ton pieces comprised of 12-inch spikes; however, these two new works deviate from their predecessors in that they are not welded together, rather their components are meticulously stacked. In addition, Bisbee has created two smaller autonomous pieces consisting exclusively of weld. The combination of these sculptures presents a separation of materials that has been a part of Bisbee’s work for the last 18 years. In that tradition, Bisbee has also created a large wall piece, fusing the 12-inch spike together by means of weld.
