Permanent Adolescence explores the topic of a new century and currently evolving art practices within it

Rock and Roll is permanent adolescence – Bruce Springsteen.

Permanent Adolescence, a term appropriated from psychology and social studies, is about a new youthful physical appearance to be found in many contemporary artworks. In the last 10 years, with the birth and development of the Chelsea neighborhood as an art district, high fashion center, and housing hotspot for New York City’s elite, emerging artists being shown in alternative spaces and artist-curated exhibitions have created and redefined for themselves a new and individualistic “look” which functions almost as a form of misdirection…
