A group exhibition of the most promising artist submissions this season. Works shown include tapestry, collage, painting, site-specific sculpture, and assemblage.
PAT ARNAO will be showing a series of 2” x 2” miniature oil paintings of landscapes with fires or explosions.
KATE CHILKO’s sculptural and illustrative works use images and writings to deal with themes of the context of the self, family, and society.
DIANE DWYER had her first solo show at Outrageous Look in November 2005. Her deep and delicate oil paintings capture images of the “intersection of the divine and the banal.”
RYAN KITSON’s site-specific piece for the OL windows will be a re-working of a “J-Lo” mannequin type store display.
STEVE MacDONALD’s tapestries and constructions use sewing and carpentry to create beautiful iconic landscapes of golden dreamscapes.
JASON WRIGHT has been working for years reconstructing his own paintings as a form of assemblage and recycling—the pieces for this show are seen at once as two and three-dimensional works on the wall.
ANDREW ZAROU works with collage, painting and drawing to chart an intuitive and lyrical flow of form and reference in his delicate works on paper.
