The Social History of Objects: common objects (e.g. a rock, an iron, a dried corn cob) collected from friends - artists and nonartists - presented alongside museum-like labels that address their individual histories. Exhibition inspired, in part by, Vladimir Nabokov’s 1972 novella “Transparent Things” and Daniel Spoerri’s 1962 book “An Anecdoted Topography of Chance.” For the opening reception, we will be serving cold cans of budweiser beer that were used in the exhibition “Cady Noland Approximately.”
