For the installation titled Cocktail, the French artist Cecil Paris has created five new works that collectively suggest a generalized murmur, a recollection of sounds no longer being heard stimulated by visual cues.

The exhibition will feature two new videos, Fountain and Dazzling, and a wall installation entitled Wings. Additionally, there is a series of photographs and a series of silkscreen prints, Curtains and 50. As in a well-mixed cocktail, the disparate elements simultaneously retain their individual flavors while creating a complex new entity. Movement and hesitation, absence and presence, truth and fallacy, are all ingredients in Cécile Paris’ new Cocktail.
