Millree Hughes’ Figure 3 (2006), is a short digital animation that blurs the line between social and abstract life. The heavily hand-drawn cels are layered and often self-obliterating, the images fleetingly perceived as flashbacks of a wild night out: smoking, socializing, hooking up, blacking out, having fun and making mistakes in a condensed cycle of desire and uncertainty.
