Claudine’s Viennese heritage is evident in the atmospheric colors and luscious brushstrokes of her paintings. Her large, lyrical landscapes combine figuration and abstraction, as animals and elements of human figures form and dissipate in mist and foliage. The creatures transmute into an enchanted existence that can be sensual and delicate, funny, bold, and at times dark and scary, suggesting a different hermetic world, where moments and glimpses of stories appear in a dreamlike state.
