Produced at Eyebeam: Works In Process, is part one of two exhibitions featuring recent work from Eyebeam’s 2004 Artists in Residence, Moving Image Studio Commission, Co-op and Fellowship Programs. Like software released in versions, many of the installations in Works in Process are iterative and participatory, changing for and by the user. This exhibition also embodies the atelier-oriented approach or process over projects cultivated in Eyebeam’s studios. Work in the exhibition explores interactive global streaming, the architecture of democracy, body modification and corporate branding, aerial surveillance and gaming, pirate broadcasting, and the impact of technology on highly personal expression.
