Long Walks will be a show of drawings and small wood objects. Although much of Halverson’s work may be categorized as being minimalist, he is able to infuse his work with a tactile warmth that is both comforting and somehow humorous at the same time.

In his own words Halverson describes his subject matter and influences as, “Opposites together in the same place, different feelings in the same place, unprocessed thoughts and unknown body.. What is on Earth right now that we don’t know about that will be apart of the future Earth. What is hiding on Earth. Future species of plants and animals that are just forming now on Earth.. Imagined places and objects… Containers inside the body that are holding all the bad foods, bad feelings, bad fat, and fucked stuff – and the opposite of that.. Secret plants growing to be the next life form that have never been seen before.”
