The Argentine born and Parisian based painter Martin Reyna will be exhibiting recent works that expand and meld his explorations of landscape, architecture, the void of nothingness and light. His paintings explode with color and textures, creating fields, which seem to be obliterated, or are obliterating into flashes of the prism and suspended in time and in space. Weaving between imagery of trees, minimal architectural elements, the purely abstract and combinations of all, his works speak of an existence where things are in a constant state of dissipation. The subjects are carved out and revealed through thick textures of viscous paint that poetically and lyrically evoke ideas of impermanence and ephemerality.
