Entering the gallery, a wall intervention welcomes you and directs you to the other pieces in the show: drawings, paintings and a two-channel video-installation. Using a non-linear structure, the artist creates `mindscapes’ where memory, language and issues of displacement and simultaneity play a central role. In her work she examines the relation between time and space through her exploration of seeing, remembering and communicating.

In Restructured Topography, the wall-intervention, she applies black and white tape-pieces, vinyl letters and small text panels to create an environmental setting that is both graphic and topographic. The lines, numerical symbols and words define the space and encourage the viewer to take part in the physical mapping of the area.

In these interventions, but also in her drawings of which the Numbered Series are on display as well as her paintings From the Test Series, # 14 and 15, the viewer is invited to deliberate on the complexities of mind, language and the fragmented manner in which we perceive what is inside and around us.

Also in the two-channel video Spherical Vision she combines images and sounds that reflect on memory and perception. Following the red thread in the work it unravels an interconnected systems and it reveals the intricacies of the psyche.

This exhibition is put together in collaboration with Punto Gris
