Cannonball Press is a Brooklyn-based woodblock collaborative. For seven years, Martin Mazorra and Mike Houston have been publishing high-quality, limited-edition, black and white relief cuts and screen prints.

In addition to publishing, Mike and Martin have embarked on a mission to redefine printmaking through their own brand of collaborative woodcutology. To date Cannonball Press has produced four massive collaborative woodcuts. The largest are 11 by 20 feet, and are made on canvas, paper and vinyl. They also produce large-scale sculptures which are completely wheat-pasted with woodcuts. The first was in Philadelphia. An eleven-foot tall crumpled form covered with imagery from a demolition derby. Michael and Martin will be assembling all new imagery on site in the gallery for this exhibition. Look forward to a treasure chest sculpture complete with booty and pirate imagery as well as a large wall piece printed on canvas, and piles of limited edition prints.
