Samir Aich has been painting for over three decades and has exhibited extensively in groups and solo shows in India and abroad. Aich is best known for his semi-abstract figurative paintings. He is constantly experimenting with new ideas concentrating on essential structural details in a composition that gives rise to these brilliant and bold images with faint reference to the subject. A minimalist by nature, Aich’s paintings focus on capturing the basic essence; his powerful lines breathe life into both animate and inanimate forms.

Niranjan Pradhan emerged as an important sculptor from Calcutta in the late 60s. Free flowing forms coupled with harmonious display of geometrically defined surfaces are the governing factors of his three dimensional art. His forms evolve from the inner core of life and his immediate environment. This duality, of the metaphysical and the tangible, lend monumental and powerful quality to Pradhan’s sculptures.
