The Most Blissful Sorrow features a delicate collection of new paintings by artist Amy Sol that embodies a calm coexistence of sorrows and happiness from the past and present. Each painting offers a momentary glimpse into a story where mysterious and whimsical tales of nature’s profusion of darkness and light come to a place of idyllic resolve. The characters that reside within each piece present themselves with their hearts having arrived at a holistic perspective of all life and each passing moment. Quiet and subjective themes are intended to endow the viewer’s imagination with the intricacies of each story. Every playful portrait depicts a journey within a world where all beings are sentient and notions of peaceful reflection are shared amongst all; where dreams, waking life, happiness and sadness all unite to form a singular harmony.
