LMAKprojects is pleased to present TV Dinners a video group show of twelve emerging artists.

TV Dinners wants to engage the audience to view the works in an intimate and timeless setting. Entering the gallery, you wander through a forest of white foam and cubes, on which small monitors are placed. The video works address several issues like architecture, popular music, performance, but also economical, social and political topics.

Lin + Lam `s video Dark Meat or White Meat ? offers a humorous history of turkey pardon ceremonies contrasted with tickertape statistics detailing controversial pardons and the plummeting number of pardons granted since the 1980’s. In Last Christmas Gautam Kansara explores the complexities and contradictions embedded within his family dynamic.

Iris Piers uses a small digital camera, pen, paper and voice to create little pieces of everyday surrealism, she created Casimiration or the beginning of dreaming. Paulien Oltheten also looks at the simple things in life. Often easily overlooked, she emphasis these in a piece entitled Slideshow.

In Drawn and Quartered Claudia Joskowicz discovers architectural and social elements of a place with her camera and treats her subject in a very poetic manner by showing us constructed views of the exterior surrounding a violent event. Similarly, Mathilde Rosier shows usSouth Giorgia, a visual poem. Jordan Wolfson shows Dinosaur, a ststic shot of an anthropomorphic swimming pool cleaner that sensually flirts with the camera.

Sea-Side Hotel by Louidgi Beltrame is haunted by absent characters, who occupy the empty premises of modernity, the spaces given over to the infinite narratives of a new reality. Between is from Rä di Martino in which she shows the social interactions between persons, their confusion can be seen as a reflection of our current society. Fascinated by language and sign, Stephanie Lempert created a video, where the tale of the dog communicates with its audience through Morse code.

Julia Brown’s American Vernacular features the physical interaction of pairs in domestic spaces, with one person using the other as an object. And Kambui Olujimi’s Night Flights is directed as a music video, revealing with humor the innocence of the youth.
