Riviera is proud to present new works on paper by Ted Mcgrath and Chris Silas Neal. Two of New York’s hardest working illustrators, Ted and Chris channel pop, folk, fine art and doodles into works that have the power to be both hilariously charming and subversively dark.
Ted Mcgrath grew up in the woody suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. He moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1998 to attend Pratt Institute and graduated in 2002 with a BFA in Communications Design. His work has been recognized by American Illustration (23 & 25), as well as the Art Directors Club Young Guns 5 competition. His work has been featured on MTV Networks, NYLON, Esquire Russia, The New York Times, New York Magazine, Plan Sponsor, Texas Monthly, The Village Voice, Cottage Life, BUST, Bolshoy Gorod (Russia), Men’s Health, Conde Net and Maclean’s. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn and teaches illustration at Pratt Institute.
