The exhibition explores the idea of the artificially created border, whether it be a frame in an artist’s work or other socio-politically and culturally created borders created in the mind.

Hors cadre is a term used in French cinema that commonly translates to “off screen” in English. However, its literal translation can be deemed as “beyond the frame.”
