Featuring artwork and installations from New York’s finest street legends…

BAST, AIKO (of Faile) and SKEWVILLE along with special guest Chris Mendoza from the Barnstormers

Individually these artists are known all over the world for their contributions in street-art and will come together locally to show that they never forgot where they came from.

BAST is considered one of the early pioneers, his nonstop momentum has made him an icon on the streets of New York. His posters have been seen in movies and even in video games. He has recently shown at gallieries in L.A., London and Japan

Bast and Aiko have been hitting the streets together since the early FAILE collective days, Aiko was the girl of the group and was responsible for most of FAILE’s street work. Now branching out solo, she will be a force to be reckoned with.

Chris Mendoza is a longtime friend of Bast and Aiko. Self made in his own right as a founding member of the Inkheads and an influential member of the Barnstormers, Mendoza has been involved in collaborative art making for over a decade.

And then comes Skewville, known for their wooden sneakers tossed over telephone wires worldwide. They have been hitting the streets since 1999 and have been developing their 3d medium ever since. Text sculptures that read “fame game” and “HYPE” has put skewville on the “next level”, which is also a saying they use in their work.

So trek to Bushwick and see what’s happening as far away from Chelsea, and traditional art, as possible.
