Artist’s Reception Friday, Sept 7th, 6-9 PM

Lucky Gallery is proud to present a new two person show: “Buddha Luck”, featuring the art of Mary DeVincentis and Roxanne Bohana. Artist’s reception is Friday, September 7th and the show runs thru the entire month of September.

Buddha and Buddhism are subjects that have been explored by artists for centuries. This show offers a truly contemporary take. Ms. DeVincentis and Ms. Bohana are both skilled printmakers and painters. Each has a different approach and bring different techniques to their work. A trip to Redhook is always an enlightening experience, all the more so with “Buddha Luck” at Lucky Gallery

ROXANNE BOHANA

The contemplative and spiritual Buddha images represented in my work were created to lend a beautiful, calming presence in one’s life. I love combining color and texture to harmonize with the 3 dimensional images interpreted to paper and canvas.

MARY DeVINCENTIS

This series of paintings explores traditional Tibetan Buddhist iconography. Several pieces relate to the life and teachings of the historical Buddha, while others depict aspects of the female Buddha Tara in both her white and green manifestations. My artwork is inspired by psychology, spirituality, language, literature and dreams.
