BravinLee programs is pleased to present Draftants, the first exhibition dedicated solely todrawings by Fabian Marcaccio. Fabian Marcaccio has been widely exhibited in the United States, Latin America and Europe. Marcaccio is perhaps best known for his large-scale environmental paintings, or “paintants”, which concern equally their political content and a formal exploration of materials. These “draftants” are executed on panels of sintra, over which Marcaccio draws, scratches, applies elements, prints and carves the surface—all in the service of investigating extended possibilities of what drawing is and what it can do in the role of conveying a complex view of the world.
