Sam Friedman and Phil Lubliner have created a totally original presentation inspired by anecdotes from the artists’ juvenile alter-egos, Peter G. Susquehanna and Goodwyn K. Des Plaines.
The paintings and typographic installations are a collaborative effort linking their two characters through conversational story telling and geographical content shown through this final stage of visual interpretations.
Sam Friedman and Phil Lubliner are two of the most talented and exciting artists to come out of Brooklyn. Their work has been shown at the Proposition Gallery in Chelsea, 222 Gallery in Philadelphia and McCaig-Welles Gallery in Williamsburg. Their commercial illustrations have been published in the The New Yorker, The Village Voice, The New York Times, The Stranger, Arkitip and Good Magazine.
