Jamie Dalglish was born in 1947 in Bryn Mawr, P.A. Dalglish studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati from 1969 and graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1974. Dalglish has been painting since the age of 16 and has been showing in New York since 1980.

Solo shows include: 1983 with Serra di Felice Gallery, New York; 1985 with Sarah Rentschler Gallery, New York; 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988 and 1989 with Barbara Braathen Gallery, New York; 1991,1992, and 1993 with Ivan Karp, OK Harris Gallery, New York; 1997 with Artsforum Gallery, New York.
