Josée Bienvenu gallery is pleased to launch a new program in its project room titled Unplugged. Inaugurated in the 90s, the MTV program offered “the ultimate stripped-down-to-the-core musical performance show” by inviting musicians to play acoustic live versions of their repertoire in an intimate setting. Each edition will consist of a selection of 10 to 14 works. A square column in the center of the room defines a circular flow and allows each work its own space. Unplugged will run in parallel to the main exhibition program, inviting gallery artists to present every month one or two new works of an intimate scale. Most works relate to drawing. The show will act as a hotbed and a shaping room for artists, allowing the public to witness the birth and development of parallel bodies of work.
