Michael Alan, also known as the infamous graffiti artist “Fade” has painted the NYC streets for the past 17 years. A native New Yorker and figure artist, Alan incorporates mixed media and intense crosshatching, ultimately creating figurative hybrids and a surreal, dark narrative.

His current work “The Time Travelers”, depicts creatures that are caught in the past, present, and the future, surviving in a alternate reality.

Alan studied art at Pratt Institute and graduated from The School of Visual Arts. Alan’s work has previously been exhibited on The Today Show, The Village Voice, The New York Times, Art World Digest, Elemental Magazine, Time Out NY, N.Y Press, N.Y ARTS and many others. Alan has exhibited in solo and group shows both nationally and internationally.
