James Gobel was born in Portland, OR in 1972. Gobel received his MFA at the University of California Santa Barbara and his BFA from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He recently had a solo show at the UCLA Hammer Museum and has been included in a variety of group shows such as “Las Vegans” curated by Dave Hickey at James Kelley Gallery, “Today’s Man” at John Connelly Presents as well as “100 Artists See God,” curated by John Baldesarri and Meg Cranston.
