An exhibition of photo-documentation, ephemera (financial information, correspondence), mailer cards, exhibition posters, fragments from past installations (“Cady Noland Approximately”; “Lester Hayes: Selected Work”; “The Anonymous Artist Project”), copies, reproductions, partial recreations of exhibitions (“David Hammons: The Unauthorized Retrospective; “Undoing the Ongoing Bastardization of the Migration of the Negro by Jacob Lawrence,” “Museo de reproducciones fotograficas”), and more.

The exhibition also includes non-art objects contributed by Polly Apfelbaum (posters and t-shirts commemorating the 5th anniversary of her 2003 installation), Matthew Brannon (poster he designed for his 2002 collaboration with Heidie Giannotti), Ann Craven (source material related to the paintings she exhibited in a group exhibition in 2003), Taylor Davis (reproduction of sculpture in her 2004 solo exhibition), David Humphrey (damaged elements from his installation in 2006), James Hyde (a mural-size Iris print of a wall-based sculpture he exhibited in a group exhibition in 2002), and Martha Friedman (the pedestal for a sculpture she exhibited in a group show in 2004).

This is Triple Candie’s final exhibition in its current facility. Triple Candie will remain an active programming entity in Harlem. Whether or not it will reopen in another space is still to be determined.
