Expanding New York’s leading art hotel’s collection and its vision
The Artbreak Gallery, a new venue for art enthusiasts and buyers has been created in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to expand the famous Carlton Arms Hotel Art Project.
Described as a ‘live-in museum’ by People magazine, the Carlton Arms Hotel has become a vibrant permanent exhibition of art, with every room and every inch of space covered with the incredible colorful work of artists from all over the world. The new gallery will provide an additional opportunity for many of these artists to show more of their work and for new artists to benefit from this heritage.
F our members of the hotel’s management team, John Ogren, Hugo Arizmendi. Geoff Green, and Andrew Hickey have banded together to create the new Artbreak Gallery, a tribute to and an expansion of the hotel’s original vision and its twenty five year patronage of artists.. John Ogren said,” The art in the hotel and in the new Artbreak Gallery continues to be ” A Window on New York for artists from around the world.”
It is the gallery’s mission to enable artists and art enthusiasts to participate in the already dynamic arts environment of Williamsburg, Brooklyn “The Soho across the East River”.
The Artbreak Gallery will feature work from modern to contemporary to urban, from art on canvas to sculpture and photographs.
The gallery’s first exhibition, “The Carlton Arms Art Project” opens the 29th of March featuring the work of more than 70 artists who over the last 25 years have left their unique mark on the walls of The Carlton Arms Hotel, New York City’s “ART HOTEL”.
