The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center is pleased to announce its Summer Exhibits series featuring As We See It, the fourth annual exhibition of works by our Photo Club. The exhibition runs from June 9 – August 21, 2008 with an opening reception on June 12 from 6-8 p.m.

Nearly 100 works from club members will be on display for As We See It, representing a wide variety of themes, styles and techniques. Work is available for purchase directly from the photographer and 25% of all sales will be donated directly to The Center. All work is attractively framed and the majority of items are priced between $195 and $395.

The Photo Club at The Center offers a supportive environment for photographers at all levels to share their work, learn from others and gain the inspiration and skills necessary to improve their artistic expression. The Club meets at The Center on the third Thursday of every month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Activities at monthly meetings include presentations by guest speakers, technical and artistic discussions and the sharing and critique of photographs.

Recent guest speakers have include renowned fashion photographer Mike Ruiz, art photographer Anthony Goicolea and gallerist Brian Clamp. Shows, classes and events of interest to club members are also shared during meetings and through the Club’s e-mail list serve.
