From June 18 through August 1, The Kitchen is presenting a group exhibition entitled The Future As Disruption, featuring works in sculpture, video, painting and photography by artists including Julieta Aranda, Joan Banach, Jonah Freeman, Olalekan B. Jeyifous, Simone Leigh, Ann Lislegaard, Adam Pendleton, Mungo Thomson and William Villalongo.

All of the artists draw on tropes of science fiction to envision possible ramifications of the technological, social, psychological and political conditions of our current moment, suggesting a daily existence quite distinct from our own.
