Featuring new work by: Matthew Brannon, José Léon Cerrillo, Daniel Lefcourt, Eileen Quinlan
Dispatch offers a model for curatorial production: an office for receiving and originating exhibitions, projects, and concepts treated as time-sensitive transmissions. Following two seasons of presenting diffuse performance projects and an onsite exhibitions series, Dispatch will launch Portfolio Project #2 this summer on June 20th. Including new pieces by Matthew Brannon, José Léon Cerrillo, Daniel Lefcourt and Eileen Quinlan, this suite of works takes stock in the practice of image-making— the artists engage with and manipulate the strategies, materials and tools of image construction.
For the portfolio projects Dispatch collaborates closely with established and early-career contemporary artists with whom we have working relationships to produce new works in small limited edition. Work on view will include a silk screen print by Matthew Brannon and a silk screen on acetate by José Léon Cerrillo, an archival marker drawing with hand-set vinyl by Daniel Lefcourt and a series of unique polaroids by Eileen Quinlan.
Dispatch produces limited edition artist portfolios twice yearly as well as single artist project multiples. A web preview of Portfolio Project #2 and our inaugural Portfolio Project #1 featuring John Armleder, Philippe Decrauzat, Mika Tajima, and John Tremblay is available at http://www.dispatchbureau.com/multiples/multiples.html.
