Cheryl Pelavin Fine Arts is proud to announce its 3rd annual print sale with works from our own shop, Pelavin Editions. For 26 years Pelavin Editions has created unique works on paper by a very fine selection of contemporary artists.

This year we have decided to give the sale a theme, fittingly it is summer. We have selected beautiful works by our artists that carry with them the look, feel or colors of the season.

We have the pleasure of introducing new work by Katherine Bradford. Bradford concluded a stunning series of monotypes this spring. We are also introducing the pigment prints of British artist Harris J. Reed. Although Mr. Reed’s work is composed or created using the digital medium he is the first photographer represented by CPFA.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to buy works by artists Katherine Bowling, Elliot Green, Valentina DuBasky, Gregory Crane, Andrea Belag, Robert Janz, Lizbeth Mitty, Mary Jo Vath, Barbara Schwartz, Richard Baker and Susan Wanklyn. Each of these artists have a fine following and are rarely if ever offered at reduced prices.

For most of these artists Pelavin Editions is the exclusive publisher of their monotypes. It was at this shop that they were introduced to this flexible and wonderful medium, which for many became an active part of their creative output.

Some of the works represented are from the 90’s and are rare, such as the Elliot Green pieces, and those by Richard Baker. Sadly Barbara Schwartz has passed away and this is the only opportunity to access her prints at a reduced price.

Robert Janz just had a very successful solo exhibition with us in May; he is being reviewed by Edward Leffingwell for Art in America and at 75 created his first set of monotypes with us. We are offering a beautiful selection of his prints in the sale.
