This September 2008 Invisible NYC Gallery Is Proud to Host “The World Has Turned And Left Me Here” A solo art exhibit featuring new paintings,drawings and works by San Francisco artist Ako Or Akayo.This exhibition will fill the gallerys complex with a large number of paintings on wood panels ranging in size as well as mixed media works and Ink drawing on paper and also including a hand painted sign installation.The exhibition will be on view from September 11th through October 11th 2008 with a opening reception held on Thursday,September 11th 2008 from 7pm-9pm

About The Artist- “AKO” Or “Akayo” Is A Born And Raised San Francisco Bay Area artist who’s art can be found lurking in the streets or in galleries and museums across the US,Australia and Europe.He has been working on the streets of Bay Area since the mid 1990’s where his images continue to endure on walls, mailboxes and other surfaces around the city.He enjoys making books, stickers, taking photos,sign painting and moving about in the city’s shadows.His work has seen many different forms from the street to the galleries and most recently a pair of signature Osiris Shoes that just came out this year,rare hand crafted books to sign painting to skateboard films his creating just doesn’t end with painting. He has been apart of group shows worldwide and has done solo shows in San Francisco,Los Angeles And New York And His Art Has Appeared in Numerous Publication Worldwide.
