The title of the show comes from the closing sentences of Marcel Proust’s Swann’s Way: “The places we have known do not belong only to the world” and continues “the memory of a particular image is but regret for a particular moment; and houses, roads, avenues are as fugitive, alas, as the years.”
Barbara Friedman has exhibited at The Painting Center, Carnegie-Mellon University and the Queens Museum. She has appeared in group shows at The Drawing Center, Art In General and Exit Art. This will be her first solo show at PSCA.
