Fireworks Drawings, abstract works by New York artist Rosemarie Fiore that use exploded fireworks as their medium, are being exhibited as part of the Doral Bank Art Program at the bank’s Park Avenue branch, 387 Park Ave. South at 27th Street, Manhattan, through September. Branch hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

To create the 16 works in the series, Fiore threw lit fireworks into tubes placed on paper that contained the explosions. All the marks and colors seen in the drawings are the result. The elements of chance, purpose and intention are blurred in this ongoing series of drawings.

The Doral Bank Art Program started in May 2004. Fiore’s Firework Drawings is the second exhibition sponsored by the bank.
