Her one-woman journey to art venues around the world begins at Jack the Pelican, as she attempts to pack into her suitcase the works of 19 of her colleagues:
Barry Hazard Jaclyn Meloche Elizabeth Otten David Mramor Kevin Regan Jungsun Park Baishian Bai Michael Drury Jonathon Hartshorn Brendan Carney Jeffrey Brady Scott Lawrence Thury Sigurthorsdottir Thor Sigurthorsson Nicholas Fraser Justin Mata Tom Weinrich Hadassa Goldvitch Debo Eilers
Dressed in her trademark navy blue suit, Jung presents the image of a polite, friendly and genteel young professional. However, getting so much art into her suitcase will require her to be fiercely, tenaciously pragmatic. It is clear the work will get damaged—a lot at first, and then more over time.
This is her experiment in movement, storage and surplus. With the insouciance of an airline stewardess, she will nonchalantly roll the tatters and remnants in her “pretty” suitcase through airport terminals in Seoul, Berlin, Mexico City, LA, Iceland, Venice and more…to share with the world the wonders of young artists working in New York City.
