The theme “Paws With Claws” was originally realized by curator Panos Papalampros as a group exhibition allowing all participating artists to create new works in a variety of mediums which consider/display/illustrate/pun the words: paws, claws, and their homophones. It was then exhibited as “Paws With Claws” at Purchase College in February 2008. Paws With Claws 2 again asks invited artists to display work that considers combinations of the words paws, claws, and their homophones. This January’s second iteration finds a new home at Video Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. The returning artists from last year’s show are Panos Papalampros, Peri Lee Pipkin, Alan Resnick, and Jason Roy; joined by this year’s newly invited artists Nick D’Agostino, Double Happiness, Aimee Lusty, and Scott Meyers.
