Max Protetch Gallery is pleased to announce the first U.S. exhibition of photographs by Japanese artist Keita Sugiura.

Sugiura will show a selection of prints from his ‘Dark Forest’ series. To create these works, Sugiura photographed forest landscapes in Okayama Prefecture at night using only existing light. Foliage, geography, reflection and darkness enter into subtly choreographed relationships.

Keita Sugiua was born in 1980 in Tsuyama, Okayama Prefecture. He lives and works in Okayama.
