The Kravets/Wehby Gallery is pleased to announce Winter Escape, A group exhibition including Nina Chanel Abney, Manuel Esnoz, Wendell Gladstone, Aaron Romine and Aya Uekawa opening on Thursday, January 22 and running through February 21, 2009.

Nina Chanel Abney plays with pool balls and a festive pink poodle. Images move and retract in Manuel Esnoz’s rigorous woven terrain. Wendell Gladstone shifts a wintry plaid motif into the personage of a miner sifting for minerals and spirits of mysterious forms. Aaron Romine depicts a decadent wintry scene where generations therapeutically mingle outside a bathhouse. Aya Uekawa creates three impossible winter escapes by altering exotic birds into hairstyles in three individual works.
