It’s time to appreciate the dollar. From January 23 to February 7, Josee Bienvenu Gallery will present an exhibition of ball point drawings of paper clips on dollar bills by Renato Orara. Starting at $150 per bill, prices will go up 10 to 20 percent per day during the two week event and will continue to fluctuate after the exhibition. Renato Orara brings drawing to an extreme. Variations of tones, hues, shapes and shades rendered with a ball point pen bring ordinary objects to a degree where they almost breathe.
