Please join us on Thursday February 12th from 6-9pm for the exhibitions closing reception, which will include a blessing ceremony in the Tibetan and Buddhist tradition and a book signing by Ori G. Carino

In celebration of the book release “King of the Dharma: The Life of Je Tsongkapa” DEAN PROJECT is pleased to present, Ori G. Carino. The exhibition will include four of his paintings that are included in this book. These four paintings are Mr. Carino’s contemporary interpretation from original scenes of the 15 scroll paintings called Tsongkapa Eighty taken by the family of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1959 when they fled the Himalayas to India.

This exhibition also presents studies by Mr. Carino and a video documentary interview by feature PBS filmmaker Tad Fetting in which Ori or Mr. Carino narrates the process of this exciting project.

We are delighted to have as part of this exhibition the work of Pema Rinzin who is a renowned Thangka painter and one of the world’s experts on individual historical masters of Himalayan Art.

Available at this time and through the duration of this exhibition is the limited edition book of the “King of the Dharma: The Life of Je Tsongkapa” published by Asian Classic Input Projects.
