Spanning time, genre, and nationality DRAWINGS endeavors to celebrate the act of drawing itself and its continued breath and diversity. For example, master works by German artists Ernest Ludwig Kirchner and Martin Kippenberger are juxtaposed with the youthfully exuberant digital rendering of Italian artist Mattia Barbieri. From the organic and obsessive drawings of Sebastiaan Bremer, Dan Zeller, and Mika Yokobori and the minimal and rigorous geometry of Frank Gerritz, Winston Roeth, and Karoly Keresu; to the gestural figuration of Elena Monzo and the provocative narrative works of Carla Gannis, Jim Shaw, and Kristian Kozul, this exhibition includes significant gems across the spectrum.
