Following on from SIMON ROBERTS’ critically acclaimed Motherland project, which formed the gallery’s inaugural exhibition in October 2007, KLOMPCHING GALLERY is pleased to announce Roberts’ second solo exhibition with his new photographic series, We English.

We English is a stunning collection of photographs that documents the English, as they collectively interact with the landscape and spend time at leisure. Informed by his predecessors Tony Ray-Jones, Martin Parr and John Davies, Roberts’ new work will be published by Chris Boot Ltd. with a US book launch coinciding with the exhibition at KLOMPCHING GALLERY.

A feature previewing We English has been published in the Spring 2009 edition of Foto8 magazine, together with four photographs at the New York Photo Festival, May 14—17 2009, in an exhibition entitled Home For Good, curated by Jon Levy.
