Mountain Fold is pleased to announce the opening of Vegetables for Breakfast, a group show of mutated art objects. It is about summer in the city and joyful subversion. The pieces in the show are hybrids. Some are artworks that serve as decoration or furniture, while others began as daily objects, but have been deprived of utility and turned into works of art. The pieces all retain some element of shape or function, but have mutated from their original purpose. The artwork becomes companion—ike living in a colorful, lucid, daydream.

Margaret Lee will display ultra realistic vegetables, cakes and candles on the wall. Joshua Nathanson presents a custom-made chair, specially designed wallpaper, and 3D wall sculptures. Shabd Simon-Alexander will exhibit a ceramic vase and stones on tiled pedestals, all equally covered in blotches of color, blurring object and function. Antoine Catala organized this exhibition; he will present a series of painted TVs switched on to your favorite channel—paintings with an ever changing background.
