The Italian and German curators have invited Rifat Gecaj as special guest artist. Mr. Gecaj, who lives and works in Munich, fled to Germany from Kosovo as a young man. His painting portrays the Christian Cross and will be installed in front of the altar in the oldest synagogue in New York at the Angel Orensanz Foundation Center for the Arts.
