English Kills Art Gallery will feature an exhibition of documentation of past performance works by Holly Faurot & Sarah H. Paulson and scroll paintings by Don Pablo Pedro. This joint-exhibition will open with a 2-hour performance by Faurot & Paulson at 7 PM.

Add the mix of painkillers to the isolation, and the visions in Don Pablo Pedro’s brain bloomed into warped horrors of mutilated melted flesh, pools of sex gone wrong in an awkward nightmare… moaning heaps of old flesh defecated upon itself as people tugged, tongued and penetrated each other.

Bedridden in the hospital for thirteen days, Don Pablo Pedro laid in torment, anticipating the moment when they would cut out his testicle.

In the midst of the unbearable pain, the artist began the body of work you will see in this exhibition.

On August 1st, Don Pablo Pedro will be holding a memorial show at English Kills Art Gallery, dedicated to the memory of his lost testicle. The body of work is comprised of painted muslin scrolls depicting scenes of sexuality, mutilation and pain.
