Continuing the Summer Heist Program, Heist Gallery presents Jennifer Sullivan’s Manhattan Miniseries (With Sweaty Palms) with an installation, performances and special guest artists.

Working within an installation inspired by the idea of a green room, including functional furniture and a series of colorful and (sometimes interactive) new paintings, Jennifer Sullivan will create all new daily episodes of her talk show about art, It’s a Process, of which she is both host and producer. Each episode of It’s a Process will be a unique entity, ranging in content from the intimate to the extravagant, with the intention of setting a stage for dialogue, discovery and possible disaster. Special guest artists have been invited to participate in the production of several episodes, as will members of the studio audience, including anyone present for the day’s activities, thus becoming a collaborator with the artist and an integral part of the shape that each new episode will take. As a program, the format of It’s a Process is always in flux, and for it’s two-week residency at Heist, the show will take the idea of a summer conference course or workshop as it’s inspirational jumping off point.
