Art for Change is a unique, year round non-profit organization located in East Harlem, New York that encourages the advancement of progressive social change by using art as a catalyst for disseminating information to people. We provide space to discuss and explore that information, stimulating individual and collective reflection, which leads to action and change.

Questions? Well, we have answers!

When is it?  Saturday, December 8th, 2012 from 7:00-11:00PM

What is it? Art for Change is holding a silent Art Auction Fundraiser to benefit our Children’s Art Workshops and our Art Belongs 2 Everyone programs. Each month, both programs provide Art for Change sponsored cultural events, such as art exhibitions, Spoken Word and poetry readings and performances, arts and crafts workshops, film screenings and even a summer arts festival in East Harlem’s very streets! The goal is to raise $2,000 in ticket sales and auctioned artwork.

What is included?  Your ticket purchase includes one free drink, food, a live DJ, and a room full of artists and professionals for networking! We will also raffle off tickets for a chance to win exciting prizes, which make great gifts for the holidays.

Where is the gallery?  Art for Change Gallery is located on 1699 Lexington Ave (between 106-107th Sts), Lower Level. Why should you consider coming?  Oh so many reasons why! But here are just a few: 1.        All the proceeds go directly to Art for Change’s Children’s Art Workshops and Art Belongs 2 Everyone programs. 2.       You are provided the opportunity to bid on artwork from new and emerging artists, which can add to your already extensive art collection or finally fill that awkward wall space in your apartment. 3.       FINALLY…..you receive that warm fuzzy feeling from knowing that you helped our small organization keep our Children’s Art Workshops and Art Belongs 2 Everyone programs running.

Don’t do it for money—do it for change!
