A dis-ease pervades the paintings and platinum prints by Robert Selwyn and photographs by Steve Giovinco on view in the underground space at Jim Kempner Fine Art through April 15.

Romantic, dark and mysterious, Giovinco’s digital photographs of night landscapes are frozen moments of beauty and suspense. Isolation and disconnection infuse a spare hotel room as a couple lay in his and her respective beds. Everything is literally off-kilter and distorted in Robert Selwyn’s lushly painted images of suburban houses and highways.
